Beil Registersysteme has taken on worldwide sales responsibility for the products of German plate punching and bending systems specialist Berth.
Family-owned Berth was founded in 1947, but has found developing a worldwide sales and service network turned out to be more difficult than expected.
Founder Heinrich Berth developed a method for quickly changing and accurately positioning printing plates with one hand movement, and was granted a patent which was the basis for the company.
Berth Asia-Pacific regional manager Shammi Krishnan says the deal will not affect local dealer and partner arrangements,
"Activity from this cooperation will make our sales and service network stronger in the world market, and give us a much stronger project team," he says.
Beil Group has one of the largest ranges of punching and bending systems for offset presses and the Berth cooperation will extend this in the high-end. Products of both companies are on show at a new Beil training centre in Abensberg, Germany.
