A 160-page twin-web Lithoman will be the world’s largest heatset press, maker manroland web systems claims.

The order from WKS Druckholding was confirmed at the DRUPA trade show in Düsseldorf this week, and will bring the German contract printer’s tally to eight webs from 48 to 80 pages at its sites in Wassenberg and Essen.

WKS managing director  says past Lithoman presses have “absolutely proven their worth” in terms of printing stability, quality and productivity.

WKS evolved in 2009 from the merger of Westend Druckereibetriebe in Essen and Kraft-Schlötels in Wassenberg, with the support of financial investor Vibro, represented by managing partners Michael and Klaus Viehof, and managing director Joachim Lusch at the show.
