Paper merchant BJ Ball will take over distribution of Flint Group ink in Western Australia under a new deal announced today.
BJ Ball moves into web, label and flexo inks under the exclusive arrangement.
Marketing manager Tony Bertrand says BJ Ball is continuing to grow its footprint in the commercial and packaging print sector, with partnerships such as this providing our customers with greater value: “BJ Ball Inks currently distributes the K+E sheetfed inks as well as coatings to the commercial sheetfed market,” he says. “With Varn and Day leading the market in press room chemistry and blankets respectively, this adds a strong product portfolio to an already comprehensive offering.”
The new element of the Flint Group/BJ Ball partnership has its foundations in the west. Customers gain a local supplier for Flint’s heatset and news products, supported by two technical ink representatives and inhouse ink mixing facilities.
BJ Ball WA will also exclusively distribute the full range of products to the narrow web market, including solvent and water-based packaging inks and coatings.
Bertrand says customer benefit is at the core of the new partnership which is part of a consolidating market requirement.
