Indonesian book publisher and printer PT Tiga Serangkai is adding a fifth Tensor web press to its line-up.

Tensor chief operating officer and sales vice president Mike Pavone says the existing presslines are often running 24 hours per day at full speed with small windows of maintenance time allowed.

"They have performed well under this heavy production schedule, so the company opted to purchase another Tensor press to accommodate demand for a  new book format," he says.
The T-1400 tower and T-1 folder are scheduled to ship to Solo, Indonesia, in May. It will have a 630 mm cutoff for the new textbook format.  Units are equipped with bearers on both the blanket and plate cylinders, features that are generally standard on Tensor’s T-400BE press design.
