Veteran of family-owned plate management systems vendor Nela Brüder Neumeister, Helmut Britsch, has handed over the role of director of sales and marketing to Guido Eckenwalder. Britsch, who took the sales and marketing role in time for DRUPA 1995, will continue as a senior key account manager. His 37 years with the company began in the design department, which he soon led. He is credited with transforming the mid-sized, family-owned company into an international organisation with subsidiaries in Minnesota, USA and Singapore.
Eckenwalder has been head of sales and marketing for the Asia/Pacific and Middle East since 2001, having joined from a background in plant automation. He established Nela as a market leader in Asia, setting up sales offices in Singapore and Taipei.
Stephen Goh will take on his role, having led the Nela sales office in Singapore since last October.
