Organisers have set the date for the fourth Pack Print International trade show in Bangkok this August.

The International Packaging and Printing Exhibition for Asia (PPI 2013) will be staged from August 28-31, with almost 250 exhibitors  and 20,000 visitors expected at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf Asia, the Thai Packaging Association and the Thai Printing Association, PPI 2013 is expected to surpass the success of the last show by pulling in top global brands. MDA managing director Gernot Ringling says the show will proide “the right avenue” for decisionmakers, given pressing market demands for higher productivity and value efficiency in printing services.

“We have gathered the world’s market leaders who front the best technologies that meet the industry’s current expectations at the trade exhibition in Asia.”

Trade floor space has been expanded by more than 20 per cent, and will combine specialised equipment alongside cutting-edge, integrated and environmentally friendly solutions, organisers say.

Heidelberg and KBA will join a special showcase, and there will be country pavilions and national groups from China and Taiwan. Sanxin Printing Machine Material, Bao-Der Enterprise Corp, Ferrostaal (Thailand) and Worldly Industrial are among those painting the ‘printing’ segment of the trade floor red.

Hewlett-Packard (Asia Pacific) and Fujifilm (Thailand) have also indicated their participation.
