Norwegian joint venture Nr1 Adressa-Trykk will install DCOS CRC4 inspection system making it the fifth press since the beginning of 2013.

It will go to Orkanger where the company – owned by Polaris Media and Amedia – developed a new printing facility with a 12-web Tensor T400 printing press in 2009.

Both partners had experience of closed-loop density control: Polaris installed another vendor’s system at Ålesund and Heimdal, and Amedia specified the DCOS system for a new manroland press in Biri in 2012.

“In light of our client’s experience of automatic closed-loop density control systems, we’re incredibly proud that they chose our technology and solution for their facility in Orkanger which will also become the largest installation of its kind in the Nordic region,” says DCOS chief executive Mattias Andersson.

DCOS says they have two CRC4 installations ongoing in Germany.
