German large-format heatset pioneer Stark Druck will bring a new 80-page Lithoman autoprint into operation this December.
The highly-automated long-grain manroland web joins eight existing presses at its plant in Pforzheim, well known aas a centre for innovation and high performance.
It will have a web-width of 2250 mm and the full suite of the German maker’s automation features and technical solutions, including APL plate change robots – as part of a complete AutoJobChange system – and manroland’s inline colour, cut-off and fanout control technology.
It will be equipped with a PFI-5 folder, automatically adjustable with a second cross fold – which can be shut fown when not required – for producing double parallel folds and two quarter folds with separate delivery.
With the installation, Stark Druck’s nine commercial webs – including two non-manroland 96-pagers – will be capable of printing 576 A4 pages per cylinder revolution.
