Fairfax Printers press operations manager Stephen Murphy is one of three recipients of 2009 GAMAA Leadership Programme scholarships.

The other winners are Darren Reynolds of Cryovac Australia and Christoph Lebesmuehlbacher, Heidelberg’s WA customer support manager.

Welcoming the new scholars, GAMAA president Mitch Mulligan says the programme has awarded  34 scholarships since its inception in 2002. Of which 30 were full scholarships.

“We are very proud of this initiative which is currently one of the core activities for GAMAA,” he says.

Education manager Samantha Crock says the 2009 scholarship round attracted a high calibre of applicant which made selection “extremely difficult”.

The 2009 programme includes a one-day workshop – ‘Surviving and Thriving in an Age of Change’ – in Coogee, NSW (March 26) and Richmond, Victoria (August 7), plus a residential workshop in NSW from October 22-24.
