Nela and the New York ‘Daily News’ have announced an order for a three-line punch bending system as part of the US publisher’s KBA Commander CT press project.

Three Nela Evolution high speed Vision trim/punch/bending systems will each process 320 single-wide plates an hour from the Krause/Fuji LS Jet CTP devices and Bluefin plate processors.

A multi-position plate sorting system will transport plates into the pressroom. Nela’s StatusCenter and sorting software will monitor the system including platesetters and processors with feedback to the Krause/Wobe front-end.

The deal was signed in January and will be running by the end of the year.
