Betz ink supply systems are to be sold and serviced by Baldwin in a new agreement which covers Australia & New Zealand and South East Asia, as well as the USA, UK and parts of Europe.
The alliance with German ink supply specialist Betz Technologies means Baldwin will be able to offer a complete range of liquid supply solutions for presses.
“Adding these high quality products from Betz to our product portfolio will make the liquid supply segment complete, enabling us to serve our customers with comprehensive system solutions,” says Baldwin global business and product development director Birger Hansson.
Solutions including commercial web, semicommercial and newspaper markets will enhance print quality and productivity, while reducing waste and environmental impact. “At the same time, our well-established global service network provides customers with local support across the entire press accessories portfolio,” he says.
The two companies have been working together since 1981, with Betz as a subcontractor. “We began developing our own product line in 1990 and today we have a portfolio that is an ideal complement to the Baldwin range of process automation technologies,” says Ludwig Betz, owner and managing director of Betz.
“It seemed a natural progression for Baldwin to add our products to its offering to the market and we believe this agreement will be of major importance to printers seeking new ways of improving the performance of their presses.”
Betz Technologies manufactures a wide range of ink supply, dispensing and levelling, monitoring and colour mixing systems.
