red.web head of product management and marketing Sebastian Eiden has been named to lead the German software developer's project team.
Eiden (33), who joined the Koblenz company's team in 2010 from a role as editor of the local Rhein-Zeitung, was responsible for product presentations and public relations before taking over responsibilities for marketing and product management.
He will now add responsibility for the planning and control of projects: "I'm very motivated with respect to my new tasks and am looking forward to even closer cooperation with project managers Michael Herget, Peter Still and Oliver Tregl on the one hand and with our customers on the other," he says.
The project manager is the key link between customer and system developer when a contract has been closed and red.web software introduced. "As the first point of contact for the customer, it is the project manager's duty to understand the requirements and working methods of the customer and to continually help them make even further progress with the possibilities offered by our software."
Eiden says the change brings an opportunity for customers to drive additions to the software, and has introduced a dedicated email channel for the purpose which will reach the product manager, project managers and development managers directly.
"This way we want to identify the commonalities earlier and work out priorities to enable our software - and therefore our customers - to move forward more quickly," he says.
