WoodWing has launched a public beta of its new cloud-based tool to create responsive mobile content.
The Inception HTML authoring tool will allow creation of interactive responsive content for all digital devices and channels with users publishing directly to platforms including Adobe's Digital Publishing Solution, Apple News, Facebook Instant Articles and "any web CMS".
The beta version provides a basic feature set, with a final version dur "toward the end of the third quarter".
WoodWing says online content created with Inception will comply with Google´s new mobile-friendly algorithm, and the tool will allow efficient repurposing of existing print and digital content.
Editing tools and customisable templates allow users to compose and design an article by selecting and filling components including title, subtitle, body, quotes, slideshows, videos and responsive images. Knowledge of the devices and HTML5 is not necessary.
Inception uses the Elvis DAM digital asset management solution as its backend, and through integration with the Enterprise publishing system, content from print editions can also be imported.
