Two lifestyle categories have been added to this year's Asian Digital Media Awards.
Presented jointly this year WAN-Ifra and Google, they recognise publishers who have adopted digital media and mobile strategies as part of their total product offering to meet the major changes in how people consume news and information today.
New categories for the best lifestyle website and best lifestyle mobile service reflect the need for publishers to diversify their offerings beyond news, to repurpose and repackage their content into attractive products and services. The awards aim to stimulate and incentivise these efforts.
The categories complement the existing awards for best in news website and best in news mobile service and target entries featuring all kind of non-news products and services, including lifestyle, entertainment, classifieds and utilities.
Work is evaluated by a panel of media professionals from around the world which last year included judges from the Globe & Mail, the Evening Standard, Havas, Gulf News, Schibsted and La Presse.
Entries must be submitted online by July 24.
