An expanded programme of workshops and tours puts the focus on learning at next month's WAN-Ifra World Publishing Expo.
A two-hour guided tour provides expert insights into various publishing systems at the show.
Three tours are planned - editorial systems on Monday (October 5) at 12.30pm and Tuesday (October 6) at 10.00am, and mobile solutions on Monday at 3.00pm.
Complementing the strategy conferences, workshops offer hands-on experience to those seeking deeper knowledge of key technical topics. They include:
Workshop on colour quality (INCQC Tutorial), on October 6. How to control processes and integrate proven standards. The workshop provides an understanding of implementing ISO 12647-3 in all areas of newspaper production and gives an overview of the rules and regulations of the International Newspaper Color Quality Club 2016-2018.
The wearable revolution on our doorstep, is on October 7. At the Wearables Workshop, international experts will lead delegates through market analyses and best cases for wearable devices such as the Apple Watch.
The workshop will give the outlook and potential uses for wearables for journalists and publishing houses, with presentations and interactive exercises to help in the development of a wearables strategy.
