A solution for publishing interactive content on Apple News has been launched by WoodWing Software, leveraging software and services.

Publishers can expect to reach a larger audience and attract more people to their content, with Slate.com recently reporting that news outlets saw their audience on Apple News skyrocket in 2018, thanks to editorial curation and a better overall consumer experience.

WoodWing's solution uses an online tool for content creation called Inception, with a range of optional services. A new release includes creation of customised styling as an accompanying service.

Chief executive Ross Paterson says WoodWing worked with leading US publishers to easy to use software that will deliver a captivating reader experience. "We strongly believe that the design and quality of the content are vital for digital channels to be successful," he says.

Instead of being based on HTML content, the internal structure of Inception articles is very similar to that of Apple News, meaning it supports all interactive and visual design features, as well as customised styling.
