manroland has sold an 80-page Lithoman to established customer Mohn Media in Gütersloh, Germany. Scheduled to start production in the middle of this year, the new press will have a web width of 2250 mm and a maximum output equivalent to 3.2 million A4 pages an hour. Mohn plans to expand its product range with inserts. manroland says the customer chose the Lithoman for its flexibility, which suits both high and low pagination, as its variety of folds and page counts were previously not possible on low-pagination presses. Mohn plant manager Roland Witte says the company intends to "set the standards" in insert production from the start. Danilo Vaskovic, manroland area sales manager, says the Mohn business model is based on very clear intentions which are pursued rapidly and determinedly: "We are delighted that another chapter has been added to the longstanding partnership between Mohn Media and manroland,” he says.
