Don't be confused by the postponement of the Print & Digital Convention, arranged by DRUPA organiser Messe Düsseldorf and Fachverband Medienproduktion to October.

The virtual.drupa event planned for April 20-23 is still going ahead.

What's changed is that the Print & Digital Convention, originally planned for June, is being moved to October 20-21, 2021.

Organisers blame the ongoing pandemic as well as national and international lockdown measures and associated travel restrictions, with hopes for better conditions in the northern autumn.

Some 95 per cent of previously-booked exhibitors will be present in October.

Director Sabine Geldermann says that "while virtual formats are the measure of all things in these times", customers recognise that face-to-face events are still indispensable, "especially when it comes to the haptic experience of technologies and their applications".

The next physical DRUPA is planned for 2024.
