A new WAN-Ifra webinar on Singapore time aims to make you a more dynamic leader.
‘Building organisational resilience and confidence to lead’ is being held on June 9 from 1400-1530 SIN/HK.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has tested us and our media organisations like never before,” says WAN-Ifra’s Jen Teo. “While dealing with change, defeat or loss is an inevitable part of life, coping with a pandemic which still has no end in sight fills everyone with dread and anxiety.
She says the lack of certainty makes it difficult for news executives, managers and editors to lead teams with confidence and assurance. “Confidence has a direct impact on performance and the ability to effect change.”
The webinar looks at best practices in managing sustainable businesses through media disruption, the impact of confidence in the workplace – particularly on how it can have positive and negative impacts on performance.
“Fostering resilience in one’s team or organisation provides a proactive approach to work and outlook on life, which in turn leads to better problem-solving and motivation. Resilient individuals are better able to handle adversity, tackle issues head-on and bounce back from any setbacks, while learning and growing through it all.”
Media veteran and impact trainer Paula Fray leads the session and will moderate a panel of seasoned journalists who will share their personal journeys and actionable tips in building and rebuilding confidence in the professional world.
The other speakers are Maria Cabaero (digital consultant at SunStar Publishing in the Philippines), Juliana Liu (associate director, partnerships at South China Morning Post in Hong Kong) and Glenn van Zutphen, founder of Singapore’s VanMedia Group.
