Sinead Boucher will resume the role of chief executive of Stuff with the departure of Laura Maxwell to a post with News Corp Australia’s state and communities mastheads division.

Maxwell (pictured), who joined as chief growth officer a little over a year ago, was appointed chief executive in June last year as part of a wider leadership shake-up. During that time, Stuff signed an agreement to supply Warner Bros. Discovery with a new TV news programme to replace the former Newshub.

She brings extensive digital publishing experience and will join News in November, replacing Jason Scott who has been appointed executive editor of Sport Network.

News has named NSW managing director John Lehmann to the additional role of commercial director for the division, which is to be led by Mark Reinke as managing director and publisher.

In addition to Maxwell, Agostino Giramondo has been appointed managing director for Victoria and Tasmania, following the retirement of Peter Zavecz. Giramondo retains oversight of the Weekly Times, of which he was previously general manager.

The remaining piece in the state jigsaw is Melissa Librandi, who retains her role managing director for South Australia, Northern Territory and WA, to which she was appointed in 2022.
