Ahead of the launch of a new parcel sorter from its intralogistics division, EAE Engineering Automation and EAE Solutions have announced two new managing directors, who will share the role jointly.

Robert Lugauer has been succeeded by Conrad Borchert and Tom van Holten in what the companies describe as the beginning of a new era “bringing in a dynamic young management team. Based in Germany and the Netherlands, the two businesses are sister companies of QI Press Controls.

New to the company, Borchert is a qualified mechanical engineer with extensive project management and leadership experience in the medical technology sector at Dräger.

In his 12 years in the field, he developed from an engineer to a strong authentic leader with a focus on strategic topics in the areas of project management, supply chain management, transfer and digitalisation. Most recently, he spent two years as a commercial manager at Gabler in Lübeck.

Van Holten, who joined EAE in 2015, will lead the company’s German branch, as well as all intralogistics activities of EAE Solutions’ headquarters in the Netherlands. “Being promoted to managing director is a huge honour and an exciting opportunity,” he said. “I see this as recognition of my past efforts but also as a challenge to elevate our company’s vision and performance.”

EAE Solutions launched a new E-Cross/Slim Line carrier sorter this month, which uses stereo-camera technology and was developed with leading European courier, express and parcel customers.

A feature uses real-time 3D parcel data to determine the best discharge trajectory for each parcel, whether it requires a gentle slide for fragile items or a high-speed discharge for lightweight polybags.
