The focus is on going ‘back to basics’ when New Zealand Single Width Users Grouop members gather for their eleventh annual conference in August.

The event has a date and a place – August 3-4 at the West Plaza hotel in Wellington – with Fairfax Media’s Petone print centre in Lower Hutt as host site.

Chairman Dan Blackbourn says the theme will be ‘Back to basics – improving what we do best… print’.

“There will be a host of presentations on what is happening in the print industry as well as presentations focussing on the ‘back to basics’ theme,” he says.

Other components of the conference include the SWUG NZ awards for printing excellence, and speakers covering a wide range of topics including health and safety, print industry and business trends, and updates on press upgrades and supplier offerings.

“Don’t forget the opportunity that this conference presents in networking with fellow industry members and suppliers,” says Blackbourn.

The NZ SWUG conference held in Taupo last year was such a success that many suppliers and delegates have already confirmed their support, he says. “This year promises to be even better than 2010.”
