A team of international speakers from the Web Offset Champions Group will address ‘best practice’ issues in optimising web-offset at a series of seminars in Australia and New Zealand in August.
The programme mirrors events in the UK, Sweden and Japan and is open – by invitation via WOCG partner companies – to senior executives, managers and supervision staff in heatset and newspaper houses. The group says the seminar is focussed on generic best practice and not limited to a specific product, brand or geographical area.
Speakers from group members and associates will work through key issues and share international experience. The programme is based on WOCG’s best practice guides, the seventh of which, ‘Total AM process colour control and alternative screening technologies’ is launched at the event.
Topics include trends and best practice, ultra-wide web-offset, convergence between coldset, UV, EB and heatset and a review of PrintCity research.
Speakers include Ian Johns (DIC Australia) and Nigel Wells (WOCG) plus specialists Terry Schaefer (Quad Tech), Philippe Dhenin (Müller Martini), Marc Than (Trelleborg), Gerry Schmidt (Sun Chemical), Steve Doyle (Kodak) and Eytan Benhamou (Megtec).
The programme starts at 1 pm on each day, and ends with a networking reception. Dates are:
Australia: August 19– Melbourne; August 20– Brisbane; August 21– Sydney.
New Zealand: August 26– Auckland.
