Chinese newspaper publisher Macao Daily has ordered three new Goss Magnum 4 presses to modernise its printing facility. The new presses will be installed when the building expansion is completed in mid 2009. The press configuration will include ten four-high Magnum 4 towers, three Goss N40 folders, and 12 reelstands. This latest investment will satisfy Macao Daily’s needs for growing print volume and higher productivity. 'Macao Daily' is a leading local newspaper in Macao, China. The publisher has used Goss presses since 1988 when it purchased an 11-unit Community SSC system. In 1996, eight more Goss units were added to the pressroom. “With the growing demand on printing quality and volume, our existing Community SSC press cannot support all our business requirements any longer,” said Ms. Chen Youlian, general manager of Macao Daily. “Based on our long-term experience over the past 20 years, we are very confident in working with Goss International and its Shanghai joint venture in this expansion project. We worked with the sales manager to specify the right press configuration, technology and auxiliaries to suit our printing requirements.”
