Australian-developed Websend advertising delivery technology has been licensed by Vio Worldwide for its UK and North American operations.
Websend, which is part of Omnilab Media, has hailed the agreement as a major step forward in its expansion strategy: “Vio and Websend share a mutual belief and direction for display advertising management and distribution,” says general manager Grant Schuetrumpf.
Advertisers will now be able to reach more than 10,000 publications across UK, USA, Canada and Australasia through the web-based interface.
“Vio is the advertising service of choice for many of the world’s blue chip advertisers and publishers and our partnership with them makes that choice an even more formidable one,” says Schuetrumpf.
Vio managing director Chris Friend says the company needed to change its platform to support a rapidly growing customer base, and their desire to move to a software as a service environment.
“Websend is technically very advanced and by implementing it as our core technology we can bring considerable benefits and value to advertisers and publishers in a highly automated web-based advertising pre-flight and delivery system.”
