Newspaper CTP and digital print maker Xeikon says it is in talks about a buyout by an unnamed party.
The company has made a formal announcement it has “engaged in discussions with a party, who has indicated to Xeikon that it may be interested in entering into a potential transaction regarding Xeikon, by way of making a public takeover bid for all shares in the capital of Xeikon”.
Initial discussions on a potential transaction are continuing.
Apart from its position as maker of Xeikon digital presses, basysPrint and thermoFlexX CTP and workflow systems, the company designs and produces plate makers for newspaper printing applications with Agfa Graphics its high profile customer.
