QuadTech looks for new agent following P&J collapse

Press control systems vendor QuadTech is “evaluating options” for representation in Australia after distributor Plunkett & Johnson went into voluntary administration last month.

Asia Pacific general manager David Mitchell and president Karl Fritchen were meeting interested parties this week. “Within days of Plunkett & Johnson's administration, we dispatched a senior engineer from our USA head office to visit our many customers throughout Australia and New Zealand to ensure that we were providing full service support,” says Mitchell. “He has been here for the last couple of weeks and will remain until we have something more permanent in place.’

GXpress understands Plunkett & Johnson was hit by continuing costs in the face of a diminishing local print market and project delays.
