KBA will grow its PrintHouseService operation following appointment of Steffen Dittmann as its head.

The KBA subsidiary focusses on services to web offset and newspaper printers.

As managing director, Dittmann (56) will build the business and “take some of the weight” from Jens Maul, who established and managed PHS alongside his duties as head of KBA web press service.

He is joining from manroland China, but worked in sales and service for KBA for a number of years.

PrintHouseService works on web presses and peripheral systems from most manufacturers, offering repairs and maintenance, production support, retrofits and equipment upgrades. While it operates as an independent company, PHS can draw on manpower from KBA’s service department and the technical know-how for larger or more complex projects.
