A first South East Asia Newspaper Group convention is planned for November 10-12 in Bangkok, reports Stephan Peters, Asia-Pacific manager for blanket maker Conti-Air, who is helping organise the event with manroland Asia managing director K.S. Ng.

Plans include a golf afternoon and barbeque on the Monday, followed by a day of technical presentations on press-related topics. Newspaper managers from the leading publishers in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand are expected to attend.

The SEANG event follows months of planning and discussion, and will partly mirror the successful Australian and New Zealand Single Width Users Group conferences, which attract a large number of technical management and overseas speakers.
