A mass of bindery and mailing equipment is among the former Geon Australia going under the hammer this month.
The first of three auctions – being webcast online – is in Melbourne on May 23, when many from the industry will be in the city for PacPrint. Other dates are May 28 (Sydney plant) and May 30 (Brisbane).
The auction is being conducted by Great American Global Partners, with local representative Dominion Group, on behalf of the receivers and managers of the former Australian printer.
In Melbourne, four, six and eight-feeder Heidelberg Stitchmaster ST-300s are on offer, together with Buhrs, Herzog & Heymann, and Stahl mailing equipment, and Kodak Versamark and Scitex inkjet systems.
The Sydney bindery is mostly Müller Martini, and includes a 2007 Acoro perfect binder of 21 stations, as well as Prima saddlestitchers of various ages and an Inventa Plus automatic book sewer.
Two Heidelberg Stitchmaster ST-250s with Rima stackers are on offer in Brisbane.
Heidelberg and Komori sheetfed equipment comprises the bulk of what is expected to be one of the biggest auctions of printing equipment in the region in recent history.
