The new office in Indonesia

Press manufacturer manroland has reinforced its web-offset support in South East Asia with a stronger presence in Indonesia and plans for user support in Vietnam. Established in 1992, manroland Asia Pacific has its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Managing director KS Ng says expatriate specialists provide expertise technical support and advice, while qualified staff speak the regional languages, “a big plus for customer contact”. Besides Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, the market organisation has strengthened technical support for Indonesia and Vietnam. “Broadening our activities to include other countries is our response to the growing demand from customers and a measure that optimises our services portfolio,” Ng says. “As a result there are also more service specialists, both expatriate and local, available locally.” Among regional customers is ‘Thairath Daily’ – the highest-circulation daily newspaper in Thailand – which has commissioned manroland to overhaul and upgrade its six Geoman presslines in the maker’s largest individual service contract.
