Colour registration specialist QI Press Controls has appointed Donny Lim to head its eleventh office, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Chairman Menno Jansen says that the move follows increased installations in the South East Asian market, previously serviced from Australia. “Given the current economic situation, the demand for efficiency-improving equipment in the printing industry is greater than ever,” he says. Local support was a key factor in an order from Malaysia’s New Straits Times Press. Lim (pictured) will be responsible for an area including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. Aged 37, he has a diploma in technical engineering, and is currently studying for an MBA.
