German engineering office Mauser-Kaiser will work with Kenya’s Nation Media Group on building and other developments to accommodate its new manroland press.
Planning is underway for a new building for the 4x1 Colorman e:line press, following a meeting at manroland web systems in Augsburg. the project covers press and mailroom at the Nairobi
headquarters, including a new production hall to accommodate the press, Manuload reel supply system and mailroom technology. The Aschheim engineering office will also plan technical systems including ventilation, cooling, power supply, compressed air and process water treatment.
Mauser-Kaiser – which drew up the customer specification and supported the press selection process – will also be in charge of coordination with manroland.
The printing hall is due for completion next January 2015, with production scheduled for the end of May.
