Schibsted Trykk Oslo will reduce waste and increase efficiency at what is Norway’s largest newspaper printing plant, thanks to an upgrade order.

Printa press control systems are to be modernised on a ten-tower Goss Colorliner by Honeywell Process Solutions under the order.

A phased upgrade will protect existing assets and allow the company to maintain performance into the future. Honeywell will upgrade the Printa press control systems to the latest Profibus technology and update existing controllers for the ten-tower, two-folder press line. Control desks and interfaces will be upgraded to Windows 7 support and the Printa production management system will also be upgraded.
