A revamped ifra PublishAsia event will offer three concurrent focussed conferences. Held in Bangkok from May 27-29, the ninth Asian event explores revenue building and cost control strategies.
With the economic crisis as a background, the event aims to help Asia media companies to improve their cost control and to identify new revenue opportunities, creating an exciting learning and meeting platform.
It will include the following:
• The CEO Conclave, conceived for senior management executives, aims to cover business issues that are current and relevant to Asian publishers.
• The Newsroom Summit tackling the problems and challenges facing editors, managing editors, news editors, chief reporters and all those who are involved in leading and managing newsrooms in a multiple media environment.
• The Production Conference, aimed at technical and production directors, prepress and plant managers as well as IT heads who are tasked with managing the publishing and printing operations, will concentrate on new technologies and trends with a special emphasis on cost-saving tools and techniques in production.
One-day, in-depth learning seminars on specific topics will offer additional reasons to make the trip to Bangkok worthwhile.
Other events at Publish Asia will include an expo showcasing the technology and service offerings and on-site visits to media houses in Bangkok. The Asia Media Awards – for which submissions close on January 30 – will be presented during a gala dinner on May 28.
