Krause plates up for new waterless site

Krause has installed the first of its new series of platesetters for waterless CTP, launched at IfraExpo in October. Two XJet systems at Druckzentrum Nordsee in Bremerhaven, Germany, are are integrated into the press control area to make plates for the company’s KBA Cortina newspaper press. The company has ventured on a new beginning – a new plant with new technology, aimed at expanding business into the semicommercial area. Krause says it had been preparing technology for waterless for some time, and shared a philosophy of innovation, know how of print and belief in new technology with the publisher. The system uses components from the Krause flagship LS Jet, combined with simple and precise optics.
