In South Arica, CTP doesn't just stand for computer-to-plate, but for a part of one of the country's largest media and print groups.
CTP Printers - in Cape Town, of course - has just ordered a new manroland Lithoman to update its state of the art production facilities.
The new press will have a maximum production speed of 37,500 revs/hour, its four units equipped with Dynachange job change functionality. A Contiweb splicer and Ecoset dryer, manroland colour cut-off and density controls and the latest PECOM are also included. Installation starts in August.
Managing director Caroline Sturgeon says the company's philosophy is one of continual improvement and development: "The new web offset press is one of a number of exciting initiatives and investments that we will make to ensure that we remain market leaders and afford our clients the most flexible and cost efficient production capability."
