A second 16-page Goss M-600 at Samhwa Printing in Seoul will improve onsite efficiency and open new opportunities, the company says.
Equipped with Autoplate automatic plate changing technology and Omnicon press controls, the new press complements existing sheetfed and web capabilities, used for a variety of products including consumer magazines, travel guides, children's books and soft and hardcover book.
"Even in the current market situation, we continue to improve print quality by investing in high-quality equipment," executive director Son, Ran-soo, says.
"The M-600 press has proven itself as the best on the market and allows us to guarantee the highest print quality with the shortest makereadies and lowest waste. The trend we see currently is higher demand for top quality but a reduction in run-lengths."
The latest version of the press includes new energy-enhancing and waste-reducing features delivering industry-best waste figures on job changeovers. Sales opportunities at the company will also be boosted.
Samhwa Printing has been delivering print products for 50 years, and has been a print pioneer in Korea with the first four-colour presses and colour scanners. It serves a wide range of customers, around 60 of which are based overseas, including large publishers, daily newspapers, major business groups and government organisations.
