Managing energy to save costs is the topic of a webinar from Australia's Printing Industries association.
Speakers from one of the world's leading business services companies, EY (Ernst & Young) will explain next week why and how industry companies should be focussed on managing energy to decrease costs.
The webinar will begin at 1pm (AEST) on Wednesday July 15 will cover
- Why managing energy is important;
- The fundamentals of energy;
- How to manage energy better;
- Energy efficiency technologies in the print sector; and

Senior manager on EY's climate change and energy team Charlie Knaggs says there are many reasons why print-based businesses need to focus attention on energy: "Productivity has become the catch cry in efforts to reinvigorate the Australian economy," he says. "Enhanced energy management offers some of the best opportunities to improve our productivity, by producing more with less energy.
"The potential cost savings and environmental benefits are significant for almost every business."
Knaggs has ten years' experience helping companies to design and implement energy management systems, identify and invest in energy efficiency measures, and access government funding for energy upgrades. He holds a masters degree in environmental management and a Bachelor of Economics.
Co-presenter Madeleine Hoskins is the senior consultant on the climate change and energy team and a certified energy efficiency specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and has three years' experience in identifying, specifying and costing energy efficiency upgrades in commercial buildings and industrial facilities.
