German automation and control specialist EAE - which is a sister company of QI Press Controls - has announced a partnership with API Maintenance Systems, building the API PRO maintenance software into its workflow.

EAE key account manager Marcel Wollgramm says attractions included the variety of functions and intuitive handling, and the product's flexibility and openness. "Especially the flexibility has helped to link API PRO to EAE workflows without any problems," he says.

An interface to EAE's reel data management system helps manage paper stocks and ordering. In production, EAE's software transfers operating hours and other information directly into the API system, with counter-controlled maintenance generated automatically.

API sales manager Peter Breginskisays the cooperation will create "significant added value" for employees in different areas of a printing house, and gives the company the opportunity to prove itself in a new industry.
