Combining online FlexLiner inserting with Connex data and workflow at Druckhaus Walsrode is delivering new flexibility for the German printer.
The newly-online implementation of the Müller Martini system is complemented by the MailLiner gathering system - developed with direct mail companies in mind - which allows the automated compilation of insert sets without additional carrier products or foils.
The company, which is showing at the World Publishing Expo in Hamburg (October 5-7) is also working in the digital printing environment, including with Swiss printing house Mengis on the Walliser Bote newspaper. A customised inserting solution there addresses the specific needs of what may be the world's first fully digitally printed newspaper.
"Newspaper publishers worldwide are seeking ways to be successful in the highly competitive newspaper market by implementing new ideas," says Muller Martini Australia's Roman Beeler. "To meet that need, we are providing custom-fit system solutions for the mailroom, which are often developed directly in conjunction with the customer to suit their business model."
The company is on Stand 520 in Hall 4 in Hamburg.
