Sunday night and this column is the last piece of a puzzle promised to our printers in Singapore for Monday morning.
And I am still determined to catch a glass of wine and the last episode of The Beautful Lie on ABC before I turn in.
Once again, we have left the last few pages until after a conference closes - this time Digital Media Asia in Hong Kong - and there have been stories to write and pages to design along the way. Plus problems like the fact that the cover picture of Taylor Swift - inspired by Eugene Loew's DMA presentation, which you will find on page 12, and sourced on Creative Commons to spare our budget - is less sharp than we would like.
It's been a good week, starting with Robb Montgomery's video workshop - which, hopefully will inspire me to deliver the clips I know the GXpress website lacks - but a long one. The full day provided much more than video, continuing into narrated stills and Periscope live streaming and it was good to have the opportuity to complete the day.
I had planned to take in the Guardian workshop on partnerships in the afternoon and the fact that they decided I was not welcome (not sure whether that adds cachet for us for them!) was a mixed blessing. We've squeezed report on Robb's presentation into this issue, and hope to have more on the Guardian later and online.
What has been a very busy year of conferences has been well worthwhile, even if exhibitor meetings along the way have so far delivered less than the promised level of advertising support.
Looking at this week's presentations in Hong Kong from both perspectives, I couldn't help but envy those who are now drawing more than half of their revenue from subscriptions. We're reluctant to place any sort of paywall in front of our content, but would like to know better who our readers are; especially the ones who arrive unannounced by search, and from all parts of the world.
Some changes we are in the process of making to the GXpress website should help us address that, but more sophisticated solutions appear largely closed to us because of our niche audience.
One vendor that persisted in trying to sell to us in the past week lost interest when they learned we weren't sending out half a million emails a week yet; come back when we were, they said.
I wish.
One the conference front, next up for me is Australia's Single Width Users Group (SWUG) for which a date in early March has just been set although a Digital Media India event is being held in Delhi before that. See the contact details below for what is always an informative and enjoyable SWUG occasion.
This year it is centred around the much-upgraded Fairfax site which prints the Sydney Morning Herald at North Richmond, and the Penrith Panthers venue connection will doubtless be irresistable to some.
The rest of the year promises all manner of delight (and complication). DRUPA will still be hard to ignore, if not miss, and the fact that INMA has its world congress in London this year is likely to upset the status quo on the digital front.
For myself - and having just arrived overnight from Hong Kong via Sydney - I'm hoping for fewer night flights. Beyond that and following their 'run of bad luck' Malaysia Airlines have cut the number of flights into Brisbane (perhaps completely) and I am certainly missing the convenience (hint, hint!).
Closing off the final issue of 2015, there's much to look back on and forward to
