Atex has upgraded its new Digital Media Desk to enable it to treat Twitter feeds and Tweets like any other digital asset.
Launched earlier this year, Digital Media Desk combines typical DAM features with flexibility, scalability and customisation options from its Polopoly web management platform, which is also being upgraded.
With DMD 1.2, Tweets get automatically text-mined, tagged and indexed alongside the other information sources. The new version also offers standard NewsML filters to manage incoming information feeds, and a new Media Gallery tool has been introduced to manage multimedia content galleries.
A new Polopoly 10.14 release focusses on improving support for content reuse and efficiency, with a new caching mechanism based on a NoSQL implementation allowing better scalability of web sites. Polopoly 10.14 now also supports the latest iteration of Java® 8.
