Phil Burke, Goss International’s vice president of sales for Latin America, and his eight-year-old daughter, Tara Ann died on Sunday (April 4) following a boating accident near their home in Florida. Reporting his death with great sadness, chief executive Jochen Meissner says, “This organisation and hundreds of Phil’s friends within the industry share an immense sense of grief and sorrow over this tragedy. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Gelina, their 13-year-old daughter Tessa and their family.” Burke had worked with Harris, Heidelberg Web Systems and Goss International since 1987. In 2008, he was appointed to oversee sales of all Goss products and services in Latin America and to manage the agency network in the region. “Those of us privileged to have worked with Phil know that his professionalism, expertise, integrity and entrepreneurial energy epitomised the highest ideals of our industry,” says Meissner.
