DME awards name Telegraph top website

=The UK's Telegraph Media Group and Scandinavian publishers Verdens Gang and Dagens Nyheter are among first winners of the European Digital Media Awards.

The awards recognise outstanding work in online media, cross-media, online video, infographics, mobile, tablets and social media, are were shared by nearly 20 companies and publications.

The presentations were made during WAN-Ifra's Digital Media Europe 2013 event in London. More than 250 media executives from 38 countries attended.

Judges included international newspaper designer Mario Garcia,design consultant and former SND director Hans Peter Janisch, WEF board member Anette Novak, Australian consultant Peter Ong and Randy Covington, director of WAN-Ifra's US Newsplex Training Centre.
