EidosMedia has supported Italian not-for-profit organization Pangea Foundation with a new website.
The newspaper systems developer says the project supporting women’s rights is “far more than a “simple restyling or technical update” and will present a new approach to promoting women’s rights throughout the world.
The new site at http://pangeaonlus.org/ will carry news and views on the Foundation's ongoing activities, and be a forum for opinions on events that reflect the struggle for women's rights in Afghanistan and India as well as in Italy.
EidosMedia, with other sponsor companies, has been closely involved with over the last few years. Chief executive Gabriella Franzini says EidosMedia is happy to be able to support Pangea in a variety of ways, from the funding of microcredit projects to the provision of technology and expertise.
“The enthusiasm for the Pangea mission has spread throughout the staff who have contributed to the new website,” she says. “The sense of solidarity created by a social responsibility project like this is extremely good for company morale and has a positive effect on work relations throughout the organization.”
Suppirt over the organisation’s first 11 years has enabled it to help more than 44,000 women and their families. “We are confident that the facilities donated by EidosMedia will allow us to do even more and to do it better,” says president Luca Lo Presti.
EidosMedia's first involvement with the Pangea Foundation focused on creating microcredit facilities for women and their families in the Koppal district of southern India. This latest project will provide the foundation with a new online platform backed by the technical support and experience of an international leader in cross-media communications.
