Video advertising platform SpotXchange is expanding into Asia with the promotion to regional managing director of Matt Von der Muhll.

Only recently appointed country director for Australia in January, Von der Muhll becomes managing director for SpotXchange Asia Pacific.

The new role signals continued growth and expansion for the company in the Asia Pacific. Headquartered north of Denver, SpotXchange has offices in New York, London, and Sydney and is currently ranked sixth on comScore for video ads served.

The company says that under his direction, it has aggressively accelerated revenue growth, launching the SpotXchange video advertising platform in Asia Pacific and investing in ad-serving infrastructure in Hong Kong. It has increased its base of publishers and grown the number of DSP partners.

Von der Muhll joined SpotXchange as director of media partnerships in 2011. Since then, Asia Pacific has become SpotXchange’s fastest growing region with first half 2013 revenue growing over 70 per cent.

Also announced is the appointment of Daniel Rowlands as publisher relationship manager based in Sydney. He was previously an account executive with mi9.
