A partner programme which offers free Washington Post digital products, has been taken up by almost 100 US newspapers.
Digital First Media's 51 titles, St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Columbus Dispatch are the most recent participants in the programme announced earlier this year. The rollout is underway, with several papers already offering the products and the rest expected to do so in the next few weeks.
Partner publications to offer the Washington Post’s suite of digital products free as an added value for their paid subscribers, expanding access to its digital content across desktop, mobile web sites and phone and tablet apps.
WP president and general manager Steve Hills says the response is “testament to the strength of this idea”: “We’re excited to keep growing throughout the country, in addition to expanding to publishers outside the US,” he says.
