Schibsted local take its own CMS route

Schibsted local news site and newspaper Søgne og Songdalens Budstikke has been allowed to go its own way with implementation of a new Roxen platform.

The title in Norway's southwestern region of Vest-Agder went live on the Swedish developer's browser-based editorial portal a month ago, and has followed up with a new website on the integrated responsive web platform.

"The system integrates print and web, and is well-suited also for smaller newspapers," says editor-in-chief Roar Osmundsen. "It saves us significant time in our day-to-day work, and we have gained more control over our content in all channels."

A pre-configured version of Roxen CMS pitched for local news media, the News Website platform allows growth and future functionality. ""Since our newspaper is part of Schibsted, I am very happy to have been allowed to move from the corporate platform to a solution that is more tailored to our needs," Osmundsen says. "Our new website has a layout that makes our product more consistent in both print and online."
