New elements in Websend’s iQ Enterprise Suite make for lightning-fast digital-asset management, validation and delivery, the Australian company says. Managing director Peter Lamont says the inhouse server solution offers ‘gate-keeper’ validation using a local server which interacts with the iQ Enterprise desktop applications. Publishers receive only PDF ads which pass their own specifications. The Websend suite consists of a server application, desktop software and a plug-in for Adobe InDesign. The combination of these three components allows a user to create correctly-sized artwork that meets a publisher’s technical specifications, create job tickets that can be shared with other production staff, send ads in the background and create a permanent archive of all material put through the system. gx
